Job Summary

Leading a high-performing team, the full-time Director of Software Engineering will define and oversee the engineering function for custom-built platforms, ensuring quality delivery and collaboration across product teams in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build, grow, and lead a team of software engineers and managers, focusing on hiring, performance, and technical standards
• Set engineering standards and technology direction, including development practices and quality assurance
• Own shared platform services, ensuring they meet production needs and support cross-functional teams effectively

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience, with several years in leadership roles managing custom applications and SaaS solutions
• Proven experience in defining systems-level architectural vision and executing it within a team or domain
• Fluency in order management, billing, or related financial systems, with an understanding of revenue contexts
• Experience with internally-facing platforms and shared services consumed by other engineering teams
• Background in healthcare, financial services, or other highly regulated fields
