Job Summary
Leading multiple engineering teams within the Onboarding and Timekeeping product line, the full-time salaried Director of Software Engineering will cultivate a culture of ownership, drive collaboration across teams, and oversee the execution of a robust product roadmap that includes mobile applications while embedding AI into software development processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Build a culture of distributed ownership and develop strong technical leaders within the engineering teams
- Guide engineering strategy and execution for mobile applications, ensuring quality and scalability during rapid growth
- Own engineering delivery against a demanding roadmap, improving timelines and quality through effective collaboration with Product and QA
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years in software engineering, with 4+ years in engineering leadership managing managers
- Strong technical background with the ability to engage in system design and architecture decisions
- Proven experience in developing leaders and fostering a collaborative team environment
- Experience leading mobile application engineering in a high-growth context
- Familiarity with the Spotify model (Squads, Tribes, Chapters, Guilds) and experience operating within it
