Director of Software Engineering
Job Summary
Leading a multidisciplinary engineering team, the full-time remote Director of Software Engineering will manage the development and scaling of core applications relied upon by thousands for critical supply chain operations while setting technical direction and establishing strong engineering practices.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering organization across software engineering and machine learning applications
- Define and evolve the technical strategy and architecture for user-facing applications and services
- Collaborate with Product and Deployment teams to translate business requirements into executable engineering plans
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of engineering experience, with significant experience leading engineering teams
- 5+ years of people management experience, including managing senior engineers and engineering managers
- Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams across hardware, embedded systems, and cloud infrastructure
- Proven experience scaling engineering teams and processes as a company or product grows
- Strong technical understanding of modern software architecture, distributed systems, and production systems
