Director of Solar Operations

Job Summary

To support the build-out and management of the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) department, the full-time Director of Solar Operations will oversee asset operations, process development, and team building while ensuring high availability and optimized financial performance for a rapidly scaling portfolio of solar and storage assets, with the option for remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise in preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize uptime for solar and storage assets
• Oversee lifecycle asset management, utilizing operating plans and budgets to drive output
• Drive the development of data and software tools to enhance asset management and ensure data integrity

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in solar/storage O&M or asset management
• Deep understanding of BESS technologies and solar equipment
• Proficient in solar and storage monitoring platforms with the ability to interpret complex system drawings
• Demonstrated experience in budgeting and contract negotiation
• Proven track record of building and managing high-performing teams
