Director of Solar Origination

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Origination Solar and BESS Assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential solar and storage development sites using GIS tools and market research
• Negotiate land leases and agreements while building relationships with landowners
• Lead early due diligence and coordinate with engineering teams on site assessments and designs

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Geography, Energy, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 10 years of experience in renewable energy site origination or land acquisition
• Strong background in landowner outreach and negotiation
• Proficiency with GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS) and constraints mapping
• Understanding of utility-scale solar, storage, interconnection, and permitting processes
