Director of Solution Engineering

Job Summary

To establish and lead the solution engineering function, the full-time remote Director of Solution Engineering will manage technical demonstrations, oversee in-depth technical evaluations, and respond to RFPs and security questionnaires, while collaborating closely with sales and customer success teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead tailored product demonstrations and technical deep dives for prospective clients
• Own the technical responses to RFPs and RFIs, ensuring clarity and accuracy
• Facilitate a seamless handoff from sales to implementation, maintaining technical context and requirements

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in sales engineering, solutions engineering, or technical pre-sales roles, preferably in enterprise SaaS or data platforms
• Hands-on experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or Microsoft Fabric
• Comfortable with cloud architecture, data pipelines, and integration concepts, with Azure experience as a plus
• Proven ability to lead technical demos and discussions with both business and technical stakeholders
• Experience responding to RFPs/RFIs and completing security questionnaires in an enterprise sales context
