Director of Strategy and Development

Job Summary

To support a growing renewable energy initiative, the full-time salaried Director of Strategy and Development will manage strategic partnerships, M&A activities, and project development, driving complex initiatives from analysis through execution in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate commercial structures for partnerships and joint ventures, leading negotiations and coordinating with legal and technical teams
• Drive financial and strategic analysis for M&A and asset transactions, including building financial models and preparing investment memos
• Originate and evaluate new site opportunities for modular data centers, collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize project design and returns

Required qualifications

• 6-9 years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, project finance, or strategy within energy, infrastructure, or data centers
• Strong command of financial modeling, valuation, and transaction structuring
• Proven ability to independently manage complex deal processes from analysis through execution
• Curiosity about renewable energy and AI infrastructure, with a desire to work at their intersection
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging with senior leadership and external partners
