Director of Sustainability

Job Summary

To lead the sustainability initiatives globally, the full-time salaried Director of Sustainability will manage the execution of the sustainability strategy, ensure compliance with climate-related disclosure requirements, and foster cross-functional collaboration while engaging with senior leadership and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

• Steward the sustainability strategy and oversee the annual climate and sustainability reporting cycle, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and internal goals
• Assess and maintain the sustainability and climate risk profile within the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, ensuring effective monitoring and reporting
• Engage with senior leaders and external stakeholders to promote sustainability initiatives and guide accurate data collection and compliant disclosures

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in sustainability, environmental science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 10+ years of experience in environmental management or sustainability roles, with a proven record in program development and strategic impact
• 5+ years of experience in a regulated global manufacturing environment, preferably in biopharmaceuticals
• Strong knowledge of mandatory climate disclosure standards (AASB S2, ISSB/IFRS) and experience in preparing board-approved disclosures
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and influence organizational change while engaging with senior leadership
