Job Summary

As our Director of Talent Acquisition, you will own a critical piece of our organization which comprises Achieve Test Prep, Smarter with Achieve and We Are Working . You will be responsible for staffing a variety of positions across our three business lines, with talent from around the globe.

In addition, you will be developing strategies designed to source, recruit, and select top-notch candidates as well as rolling up your sleeves alongside your team of recruiters to source the most fitting candidate(s) for open positions.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit top talent - While you'll have a team of recruiters by your side, you'll roll up your sleeves and recruit alongside them for the more critical roles.
  • Develop a strategic plan by working with department heads to analyze current and future business goals. Identify gaps, recommend solutions, and implement initiatives to ensure we hire the right talent.
  • Develop and implement an effective, engaging digital/social media plan to target, attract and recruit candidates.
  • Develop and track a clear set of metrics, recruiting reports, and dashboards. Analyze, forecast, and communicate metrics to continuously drive operational excellence across the teams.
  • Develop, implement, and coordinate performance management procedures.
  • Develop and execute efficient candidate pipelines and procedures to include: talent acquisition planning, employment branding, candidate relationship management,
  • Manage and develop a team of recruiters who will understand how to review trends, research competitive salary intelligence, and obtain global talent demographics
  • Recruit, interview, hire and train new staff in the department.
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department.

  • Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to lead a team of direct reports within the HR department and/or project teams.
  • Effective prioritization, time management, organizational skills, and ability to meet established deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, maturity and good judgment, and capable of communicating with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Proven experience in creating and leading talent acquisition strategies.
  • Thorough understanding of recruiting methods and best practices, as well as applicable policies. and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate where appropriate.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Google Drive.

  • Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher with a focus in business or another relevant discipline required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of recruiting experience required.
  • 3+ years of human resource management experience preferred but not required
  • Experience recruiting outside the US a plus but not required
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or PHR credential preferred.
  • SHRM's Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential a plus.
