Director of Technical Project Management

Job Summary

Leading a team of technical Project Managers in a fully remote environment, the full-time Director of Technical Project Management will oversee vaccine development programs, ensuring effective planning, execution, and alignment with organizational goals while fostering a high-performance culture.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of technical Project Managers to support integrated vaccine development activities
• Partner with Program Managers and functional leaders to create and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets
• Contribute to strategic planning and organizational objectives to enhance R&D operations and program performance

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific field; advanced degree and/or PMP certification strongly preferred
• 12+ years of relevant biopharma, vaccine, or pharmaceutical project/program management experience
• Demonstrated experience in leading and developing Project Managers, including performance management and mentoring
• Broad understanding of vaccine/biologic development across various disciplines, with technical fluency in identifying risks and dependencies
• Strong financial acumen, including program budgeting, forecasting, and earned value management
