Director of Technical Publications

Job Summary

Leading the strategy and execution of product documentation, the full-time salaried Director of Technical Publications will manage a team of technical writers, optimize publishing workflows, and collaborate cross-functionally to enhance documentation accuracy and accessibility.

Key responsibilities:

• Drive content strategy by defining and executing the documentation roadmap to support product success and customer onboarding
• Lead and mentor a distributed team of technical writers, fostering a collaborative culture and high performance
• Own the documentation lifecycle, overseeing end-to-end publishing workflows from planning to ongoing maintenance

Required qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in technical publications or documentation engineering, with 5+ years in a management role
• Proven experience managing documentation strategies for high-growth enterprise software, SaaS, or cybersecurity platforms
• Direct experience with docs-as-code principles and Git-based authoring workflows
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, English, Communications, or equivalent practical experience
• Familiarity with network monitoring or cybersecurity concepts is preferred
