Director of Transmission Strategy

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Transmission & Interconnection.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee interconnections for multiple 100+MW thermal energy storage projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective outcomes
• Develop strategies to minimize transmission costs and design innovative RTO or utility tariff structures
• Act as the leading voice on transmission policy, engaging with RTOs/ISOs, utilities, and regulatory entities

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in transmission strategy, interconnection management, or related roles within energy sectors
• Experience influencing RTO/ISO transmission policy and understanding tariff structures
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional efforts to advance policy objectives
• Proven experience managing analytical teams and interpreting interconnection analyses
• High degree of initiative, self-motivation, and problem-solving creativity
