A company is looking for a Director of Underwriting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to the underwriting team by personally underwriting large and complex group cases
• Mentor and develop a team of underwriters while establishing underwriting guidelines and processes
• Collaborate with Sales and other departments to support new business growth and manage underwriting performance

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in group underwriting within health insurance or healthcare-related financial services
• Proven ability to lead a team while directly underwriting complex cases
• Deep knowledge of group underwriting methodologies and healthcare cost drivers
• Executive presence with strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
• Bachelor's degree
