Director of Underwriting

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director, Supplemental Accounts Underwriting.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of underwriters and a reporting structure to meet business targets
• Collaborate with sales and internal partners to enhance knowledge of Supplemental Health and Life insurance products
• Apply underwriting guidelines, analyze complex issues, and foster a culture of continuous improvement

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or equivalent underwriting leadership experience
• Minimum of two (2) years of management experience in leading and developing underwriting teams
• At least seven (7) years of experience in group insurance underwriting or a closely related field
• Advanced knowledge of risk analysis and underwriting philosophy
