Director of Underwriting

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Underwriting to lead a team focused on advanced underwriting techniques and strategic support.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategize with clients to support sustainable benefits offerings
• Partner with actuaries and pharmacy divisions for product design and pricing
• Oversee underwriting for the Alaska market, including stop-loss renewals

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, or related field, or 4 years of relevant work experience
• Eight years of group medical underwriting or health insurance consulting experience, including 5 years in management
• Master's degree in a related field (preferred)
• CEBS Designation (preferred)
• Extensive knowledge of the health insurance industry and group underwriting functions
