Director of UX

Job Summary

Leading the unification of user experience across multiple product lines, the full-time salaried Director of UX will define a multi-year UX strategy, build a scalable design system, and operationalize UX within the agile software development lifecycle while collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead Routeware's multi-year UX strategy, focusing on visual language and interaction patterns across products
• Build and maintain a scalable design system and establish UX, UI, and accessibility standards
• Operationalize UX processes within the agile development cycle, ensuring effective collaboration among PMs, engineers, and designers

Required qualifications

• 8+ years in UX, Product Design, or Human-Centered Design with a progressive scope of impact
• Experience leading or mentoring designers in a player-coach capacity
• Proven success in building or maturing a UX function in a SaaS environment
• Strong portfolio demonstrating systems thinking and measurable UX outcomes
• Hands-on proficiency in Figma and familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and modern product analytics tools
