Director of Video Engineering

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Video Delivery Engineering to lead the development and evolution of video pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the engineering team in building and maintaining video ingestion, processing, transcoding, and delivery pipelines
• Architect and implement scalable, fault-tolerant video workflows using Python and Perl
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on video strategy and priorities

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in a leadership role
• Deep understanding of video technologies including encoding, packaging, and adaptive bitrate streaming
• Advanced proficiency in Python and Perl for scripting and pipeline automation
• Experience with AWS and cloud video workflows
• Proven track record of building and scaling video infrastructure
