Director of Voice & Access
Job Summary
Leading the modernization of voice platforms, the full-time remote Director of Voice & Access will oversee the transformation from legacy systems to next-generation VoIP and SIP technologies, manage vendor relationships, and architect access network solutions while driving team performance and regulatory compliance.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the voice transformation roadmap, including the migration to SIP/VoIP and the retirement of legacy systems
- Ensure regulatory compliance for all voice services and partner with legal and operational teams on technical implementations
- Build and lead a high-performing team of engineers, setting technical standards and priorities aligned with business goals
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related field
- 12+ years of telecommunications experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record in delivering voice modernization programs with significant financial impact
- Expert-level knowledge of VoIP and SIP architecture, including SBC platforms
- Experience with PON architectures and lifecycle management of CPE and ONT devices
