Director of Web Engineering

Job Summary

Leading the web platform engineering organization, the full-time remote Director of Web Engineering will define architectural standards, drive quality processes, and oversee the development of embedded web solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the overall web platform architecture, making key decisions on frameworks and performance strategies
• Lead the development of embedded web experiences, ensuring they meet performance and security requirements
• Establish and own the engineering quality framework, including testing strategies and release processes

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with at least 3 years in a senior engineering leadership role
• Hands-on expertise in modern web technologies such as TypeScript, React, Node.js, and GraphQL/REST
• Proven track record in designing and scaling production web architectures for high-traffic audiences
• Experience building and shipping embedded web products like webviews and SDKs
• Extensive experience with CI/CD practices and automated testing frameworks
