Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Disability Benefit Specialist will manage a caseload of disability claims, evaluate benefit eligibility, and provide support for return-to-work strategies while ensuring timely and accurate benefit determinations.
Key responsibilities
- Manage assigned caseload of Short Term and Long Term Disability claims
- Communicate with claimants, employers, and medical professionals to gather necessary information for eligibility and benefit authorization
- Provide superior customer service by ensuring timely benefit determinations and responding to inquiries
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
- 2+ years of experience in STD/LTD claims adjudication
- Familiarity with FMLA/State leave claims is a plus
- Knowledge of ERISA regulations and Social Security procedures
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Excel and web-based systems
