Disaster Case Manager
Job Summary
Conducting outreach and needs assessments for households affected by disasters, the contract Disaster Case Manager will connect clients to resources, assist with paperwork, and maintain an active caseload while working onsite in Riverview, Florida during normal business hours.
Key responsibilities
- Connect clients to nonprofit and government services for resources and referrals
- Assist clients in completing necessary paperwork and developing long-term goals
- Maintain and track an active caseload, updating clients on application progress
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in case management, public housing, or disaster recovery
- Experience as an intake specialist or in a homeless shelter may qualify
- Ability to work closely with program leadership and applicants
- Proficiency in inputting client data and maintaining case records
- Experience in transitioning clients to sustainable affordable housing
