Discern/CCL Developer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Discern/CCL Developer responsible for overseeing the design, development, implementation, and optimization of Cerner Command Language (CCL) programs and related tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, troubleshooting, and maintenance of CCL scripts, Discern rules, and custom reports
• Translate clinical, financial, and operational requirements into scalable CCL/Discern solutions
• Collaborate with various teams to ensure proper function, performance, data accuracy, and interoperability

Required Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma with 3-5 years of experience developing programs on the Oracle Health (Cerner) Millennium Platform; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Strong knowledge of Cerner Command Language (CCL) and relational databases
• Experience with Linux systems, command line, and Discern Visual Developer
• Ability to understand, design, and manipulate Discern rules
• Familiarity with troubleshooting tools for monitoring script performance and errors
