Job Summary

Serving as a disputes subject matter expert, the full-time Disputes Specialist will handle the intake, investigation, and resolution of card and ACH disputes, working remotely or from locations in San Francisco, New York, or Portland while ensuring a positive user experience and balancing risk.

Key responsibilities
  • Handle dispute intake and resolution processes, including pre-arbitration and arbitration cases
  • Work with partners and internal teams to assess the validity of filed disputes
  • Manage a high-volume caseload while meeting performance targets across key quality and productivity metrics
Required qualifications
  • 2-5+ years of experience in customer support or investigations, with a focus on disputes
  • Experience in banking, fintech, or financial services
  • Familiarity with card scheme chargeback rules (Visa or Mastercard) is a plus
  • Experience with Zendesk or similar CRM tools
  • Knowledge of banking products such as ACH, International Wires, and debit/credit cards
