Distinguished Database Engineer

Job Summary

As a hands-on architectural leader, the full-time Distinguished Database Engineer will define and drive the architecture of scalable data platforms, focusing on OLTP and analytical systems while collaborating with engineering teams to modernize data platform engineering through cloud, automation, and AI.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the architecture of resilient data platforms across OLTP and analytical systems
• Lead the evolution of Lakehouse architecture to support unified data and analytics
• Guide the adoption of modern platforms and tooling while ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability

Required qualifications

• Expert-level experience with large-scale database platforms such as SQL Server and PostgreSQL in production environments
• Strong background in modern data architecture and distributed data systems
• 10+ years of experience designing, operating, and optimizing large-scale production database platforms
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Proven ability to influence technical direction and collaborate effectively across engineering and data teams
