Distinguished Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Distinguished Engineer to set the technical direction for a new Live technology layer.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the technical architecture for real-time collaboration, streaming data, and simulation
• Make foundational choices regarding scalability, reliability, and extensibility for platform growth
• Mentor senior developers and contribute to prototyping and core infrastructure development

Required Qualifications

• 15+ years of engineering experience at a Distinguished Developer/Chief Architect level or equivalent
• Deep expertise in large-scale distributed systems, real-time data streaming, or high-performance simulation systems
• Proven ability to define and deliver technical architecture across multiple products or business units
• Strong ability to balance visionary architecture with pragmatic delivery
• Based in the Pacific Time Zone or able to work core hours
