Distinguished Engineer in AI Safety

Job Summary

As the founding technical leader for the AI Safety & Security Engineering team, the full-time Distinguished Engineer in AI Safety will define architecture, set engineering standards, and guide the technical roadmap while mentoring engineers in a remote or on-site environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define the canonical harness architecture and component baseline
• Set the engineering standards the team builds on
• Guide the Find, Validate, and Patch technical roadmap

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) with 18+ years designing and building complex systems
• Deep experience architecting distributed systems, ML pipelines, or large-scale platforms
• A record of turning research into production-grade engineering
• Ability to align engineers and researchers on one technical direction
