Distinguished Software Architect

Job Summary

As a full-time Distinguished Software Architect, the successful candidate will set the technical vision and architecture for the Autodesk Water product portfolio, collaborating with development leads and product teams to drive architectural strategy and influence product design in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Set and communicate a compelling technical vision for the Water portfolio, focusing on cloud-native services and AI integration
• Define and evolve architectural standards and components across cloud, desktop, and hybrid environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex problems into pragmatic architectural direction

Required qualifications

• 15+ years of experience as a software engineer/architect, including hands-on development
• 5+ years in a senior architecture role in a SaaS business with a platform strategy
• Proven track record of delivering scalable desktop and cloud software
• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Recognized for innovative work, such as patents or conference presentations
