Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Distributed Storage Engineer with expertise in Apache Ozone internals to work remotely, focusing on contributing production-grade code, optimizing core components, and addressing complex distributed issues in storage systems at petabyte scale.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute production-grade code to the Apache Ozone project
• Debug and optimize replication, consistency, and metadata management within Ozone internals
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor senior engineers through code reviews and design critiques

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in software development
• Strong Java skills and experience with distributed systems
• Hands-on experience with at least one distributed storage system beyond consumer-level usage
• Working knowledge of replication, consistency, fault tolerance, or metadata management concepts
• Familiarity with JVM performance characteristics
