Distributed Systems Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Distributed Systems Engineer 5 - Cloud Gateway.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate functionality to enhance security, observability, and resilience for cloud traffic
• Build software solutions to improve developer and product experience in collaboration with team members and stakeholders
• Drive alignment with stakeholders and provide technical mentorship for junior engineers through design and code reviews

Required Qualifications

• Experience in designing and developing software for highly reliable and scalable distributed systems in a cloud environment
• Hands-on experience with API Gateway technologies such as Envoy Gateway or Istio Gateway
• Deep expertise in L4 (TCP/UDP) and L7 (HTTP/S, gRPC, WebSockets) protocols
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes internals, including Networking and CNI
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Go, or C++
