Job Summary
Seeking a full-time remote Distributed Systems Engineer to build scalable, data-driven services that enhance customer value and support internal initiatives, focusing on real-time applications and data infrastructure.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop large-scale, real-time services and applications utilizing extensive datasets for internal APIs and external applications
- Productionize prototypes into reliable tools, services, or platform capabilities while maintaining ongoing system performance
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to design and implement effective solutions, including data pipelines and messaging systems
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience in building distributed systems
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming, particularly in Go
- Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Familiarity with message queue technologies like AWS Kinesis, Google Pub/Sub, or Kafka
- Understanding of core distributed systems concepts including scalability and fault tolerance
