Distributed Systems Software Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely as a full-time Distributed Systems Software Engineer, the successful candidate will independently drive execution of complex technical projects, build mission-critical backend services, and troubleshoot technical issues within a sophisticated technical stack.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage and execute complex technical projects from start to finish
• Architect, design, and develop high-performance, scalable, and reliable backend services
• Troubleshoot and debug issues within a complex environment including microservices and containers

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in designing, building, and supporting backend systems in production
• Proficiency in a major programming language such as Java, Go, C/C++, or Python
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and storage systems
• Experience in driving operational excellence for large production services
• Demonstrated ability to deliver large-scale, high-quality systems
