Job Summary
To support conservation efforts across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee, the full-time salaried District Biologist - NC Licensed will manage conservation delivery activities, engage with state and federal agencies, and cultivate relationships with major donors and corporate partners, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Acts as the primary NWTF conservation delivery contact, managing all conservation activities within the district
- Partners with development staff to prioritize conservation funding needs and engage in major donor cultivation
- Provides technical information on wild turkey management and contributes to communications efforts, including written content and presentations
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a natural resources related field with at least four years of professional experience, or a Master's degree with two years of experience
- Demonstrated experience in grant writing, major donor relations, and corporate partnership engagement
- Strong knowledge of wildlife management practices and habitat management techniques
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively
- Proficiency in grant and agreement development, including proposal writing and budget management
