Job Summary

A company is looking for a Temporary Assistant General Counsel.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, draft, negotiate, and advise on complex agreements related to programming, licensing, and new initiatives
• Provide counsel on rights and obligations under existing agreements and manage renewals and renegotiations
• Support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and legal processes while managing compliance with nonprofit regulations

Required Qualifications

• Membership in good standing in the District of Columbia bar or eligibility to waive in
• At least 7 years of experience practicing law as a transactional attorney
• Experience in handling legal matters in media and/or entertainment fields
• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Experience supervising and mentoring junior legal staff
