Job Summary
Working remotely, the part-time D1 Basketball Youth Mentor will guide student-athletes through their academic day while providing sports mentorship, utilizing their Division I basketball experience to foster both academic focus and athletic development.
Key responsibilities
- Guide students through their academic day via video, ensuring they stay focused and on task
- Mentor student-athletes on training habits, competition mindset, and balancing academics with sports
- Communicate regularly with parents and staff, providing updates on student progress in academics and athletics
Required qualifications
- Division I basketball background with competitive experience
- Experience working with young people in coaching, tutoring, mentoring, or similar roles
- Ability to build trust and provide direct feedback to young athletes
- Strong communication skills for one-on-one video sessions and written updates
- Reliable and organized, with a suitable remote setup for video sessions
