Job Summary
Working remotely, the part-time D1 Volleyball Youth Mentor will provide academic guidance and sports mentorship to student-athletes over video, leveraging Division I volleyball experience to support their development in both academics and athletics.
Key responsibilities
- Guide one student through their academic day by keeping them focused and on task during learning hours
- Mentor the student as an athlete, discussing training habits, mental game strategies, and balancing academics with sports
- Communicate with parents and staff, providing updates on the student's academic and athletic progress
Required qualifications
- Division I volleyball background with competitive experience
- Real experience working with kids in roles such as coaching, tutoring, or mentoring
- Strong judgment and ability to build trust with young athletes
- Excellent communication skills for effective one-on-one sessions and updates
- Reliable and organized with a suitable remote setup for video sessions
