DME Referral Care Coordinator

Job Summary

Supporting a fast-paced referral coordination team, the full-time fully remote DME Referral Care Coordinator will manage DME referrals, ensure timely authorization and delivery of equipment, and maintain communication with referral sources and patients.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and manage DME referrals, ensuring timely updates and authorization from payors prior to equipment delivery
• Provide accurate pricing to the Billing Department and expand the list of DME providers to secure competitive pricing
• Coordinate tasks with internal teams to ensure efficient information flow and respond to inquiries within established timeframes

Required qualifications

• Some college credit and/or experience in a related discipline
• At least one (1) year of related experience in healthcare, DME, insurance, or physician practice
• Proficient in standard office software and knowledgeable in medical terminology
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive data, including PHI
• Compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies regarding workplace behavior
