Job Summary
Responsible for maintaining the flow of Ginnie Mae original documents, the full-time Document Management Specialist will track, order, and manage records for loan servicing, ensuring timely completion of pool certifications while coordinating with various stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Complete research to clear exceptions for Ginnie Mae pool certifications and maintain monthly exceptions reports
- Coordinate transfers of documents with custodians, title companies, and attorneys to resolve pool exceptions
- Track, prep, scan, and upload custodial documents while processing daily file requests for loan servicing
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Two to three years of experience in banking, real estate, or mortgage servicing; similar clerical roles may be acceptable
- Knowledge of servicing systems (e.g., LPS) and various loan documents preferred
- Familiarity with Ginnie Mae, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac document retention guidelines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and typing skills; knowledge of office equipment is essential
