Job Summary
Combining hands-on technical document accessibility remediation with instructor-led training delivery, the full-time Document Specialist & Training Specialist (Document Remediation) will ensure federal digital content meets Section 508 accessibility standards while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Perform technical evaluation and remediation of electronic documents and forms across Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF formats for Section 508 compliance
- Design, create, and facilitate instructor-led training sessions to educate government personnel on document accessibility standards and remediation techniques
- Assist in making multimedia content fully Section 508 compliant, including captioning, transcripts, and audio descriptions
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- 2+ years of experience evaluating and remediating electronic documents for Section 508 compliance
- Proven experience creating and delivering instructor-led training materials on document accessibility
- Broad knowledge of Accessibility Tests for Documents and Revised Section 508 Standards
- Ability to assist in making multimedia content Section 508 compliant
