Documentation Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the documentation process end-to-end, the full-time Documentation Engineer will design interactive documentation, produce high-quality content, and enhance the documentation infrastructure in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the information architecture and user experience of Virtru's developer documentation, benchmarking against industry standards
• Design and implement interactive documentation experiences, including code samples and video walkthroughs, ensuring accessibility and performance
• Produce a variety of content types such as guides, tutorials, and reference materials while maintaining a library of working API examples

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in technical writing, documentation engineering, or developer education roles
• Proven portfolio showcasing clear, structured developer documentation
• Experience with docs-as-code practices, including modifying documentation platforms and CI workflows
• Strong understanding of UX principles and accessibility in documentation
• Familiarity with APIs and SDKs, with the ability to read and reason about code samples
