Documentation Manager

Job Summary

Leading a team of technical writers, the full-time remote Documentation Manager will oversee the creation and maintenance of high-quality technical documentation for APIs, SDKs, and developer tools while collaborating with product and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage 3-5 technical writers, supporting their growth and overseeing project plans
• Partner with Product and Engineering teams to develop public documentation for users and developers
• Research technical details through experimentation and collaboration with subject matter experts

Required qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in developing documentation for technical topics such as databases and APIs
• 2-5 years of experience managing a team of technical writers
• Publicly available technical writing samples
• Proficiency in at least two programming languages (e.g., Ruby, Python, Go)
• Experience with documentation as code and familiarity with modern infrastructure and CI/CD tooling
