DoD Secret Database Expert

Job Summary

Seeking a remote DoD Secret Database Expert, the full-time position will design, build, and maintain data storage and integration components for a critical federal program, ensuring high-performance and reliable enterprise databases to support military healthcare objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement database schemas, complex SQL queries, and stored procedures to meet integration requirements
• Monitor and optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, and resource management
• Enforce database security controls and implement disaster recovery strategies to protect sensitive healthcare data

Required qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Clearance (or higher)
• Extensive hands-on experience with SQL databases and SQL Server features
• Experience with clustering and replication technologies, such as SQL Server Always On Availability Groups
• Proficiency in implementing backup strategies and conducting recovery testing
• Familiarity with data integration and ETL tools
