Donor Screening Specialist

Job Summary

To support donor management processes, the contract Donor Screening Specialist will work remotely, responding to partner organization inquiries, evaluating donor eligibility, and managing documentation while maintaining a professional demeanor during all communications.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to donor screening referrals by reviewing medical records and donor documentation
• Evaluate donor eligibility using established guidelines and make independent acceptance or deferral decisions
• Document all screening activities and maintain organized donor files for accurate record-keeping

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in a relevant donor screening or triage role
• Demonstrated ability to review medical records and assess donor eligibility using established criteria
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with organ and tissue recovery processes
• Strong critical thinking skills to analyze incomplete information and make sound decisions
• Proficiency with computer systems and digital communication tools for remote work
