Job Summary
To ensure accurate reimbursement and compliance, the part-time PRN DRG Revenue Integrity Auditor will perform validation and quality audits on inpatient medical records, focusing on DRG coding accuracy and adherence to federal regulations while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct DRG validation and quality audits on inpatient charts, ensuring coding accuracy and compliance with regulations
- Analyze charts for coding factors such as ICD 10 CM/PCS codes, POA status, and HCC capture, identifying potential query opportunities
- Provide training and support for new hires, assisting in the development of training materials and maintaining high standards of productivity and quality
Required qualifications:
- Five or more years of experience as a DRG Auditor or Clinical Documentation Specialist in an acute care setting
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and remote work
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
- Strong analytical skills and comfort with numerical data
- Ability to manage multiple clients and projects effectively with minimal supervision
