DRG Revenue Integrity Auditor

Job Summary

To ensure compliance with federal laws and accurate coding practices, the full-time remote DRG Revenue Integrity Auditor will perform validation and quality audits on inpatient charts, utilizing coding guidelines and clinical criteria while supporting training and data analysis initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct chart reviews to validate proper coding and ensure the true clinical picture is captured
• Analyze records for query opportunities and maintain quality of reviews while adhering to coding guidelines
• Provide training and support in developing training materials for new hires and assist with project data analysis

Required qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in an acute care setting as a DRG Auditor or Clinical Documentation Specialist
• Familiarity with telecommuting and electronic medical record systems
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Office applications
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple clients/projects
• Maintenance of professional credentials and ongoing education in coding and compliance issues
