DRG Validation Coding Auditor
Job Summary
A company is looking for a DRG Validation Coding Auditor.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform documentation and coding audits for acute inpatient services, identifying coding errors and compliance issues
- Conduct clinical reviews to verify accuracy of coding and DRG assignment in accordance with guidelines
- Provide feedback and education to coders, ensuring audits are completed accurately and timely
Required Qualifications and Education
- 5+ years of coding experience
- 3+ years of facility coding audit experience, specifically in DRG and APC Validation
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Current certification such as CCS, CPC, RHIA, or RHIT
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical/surgical terminology
