DRG Validation Educator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a DRG Validation Educator and Trainer.

Key Responsibilities

• Train new staff on DRG Validation and system processes, including conducting audits and feedback sessions
• Create and deliver ongoing coding education and collaborate with physician leaders for content development
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert for coders, assist with coding reference tools, and conduct QA audits of inpatient claims

Required Qualifications and Education

• Coding Certification required (CCS/CIC)
• RHIA or RHIT preferred
• 5+ years of experience in MS-DRG and APR-DRG coding, auditing, or payment integrity DRG Validation
• Experience in education and/or training of coding staff preferred
• Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and other applications
