Job Summary
A company is looking for a Due Diligence Underwriter.
Key Responsibilities
- Review mortgage loan files for accuracy and compliance with investor guidelines
- Perform due diligence reviews of loan applications and documentation
- Analyze borrower credit profiles and calculate income to assess repayment capacity
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of current experience in underwriting, preferably with Quality Control experience
- Minimum 1-year of Due Diligence experience at a mortgage lending institution
- Strong knowledge of Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac guidelines and QM/ATR
- Familiarity with Non-QM loan processes and requirements
- Ability to work with multiple investor guidelines and overlays
