Job Summary

Providing first-line communication with patients and clinicians, the full-time Intake Durable Medical Equipment Specialist will facilitate the ordering and delivery of durable medical equipment while ensuring accurate documentation and compliance in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Process patient information and orders through various communication methods to enhance satisfaction and optimize revenue
• Gather necessary documentation to meet payer requirements and communicate with clinical staff regarding any deficiencies
• Maintain knowledge of billing, documentation, and reimbursement guidelines while completing tasks with minimal supervision

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of computer functions and basic Microsoft Office applications
• Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills
• Basic knowledge of the medical field; prior experience in home medical equipment is helpful
