E-Commerce Architect

Job Summary

Owning the technical architecture and platform design, the full-time remote Shopify E-Commerce Architect will manage the Shopify Plus ecosystem, ensuring scalability and integration while enhancing the bridal shopping experience across digital and store channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end architecture of Shopify Plus, including themes, apps, and integrations with enterprise systems
• Design scalable, secure integrations between Shopify and various enterprise platforms, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
• Provide technical oversight and governance for Shopify-related projects, coaching teams on best practices and modern engineering

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in designing and supporting large-scale eCommerce platforms
• 5+ years of experience architecting solutions on Shopify or Shopify Plus, including custom apps and enterprise integrations
• Hands-on expertise with Shopify Storefront API, Admin API, GraphQL, and REST
• Proven experience with composable or headless commerce using Shopify Hydrogen or similar frameworks
• Strong knowledge of security best practices for eCommerce and experience with CI/CD strategies in a multi-team environment
