Job Summary

Supporting government-funded early childhood contracts, the remote Early Childhood Finance Specialist will manage budget development, ensure compliance with funding requirements, and collaborate with various teams to streamline processes and reduce errors.

Key responsibilities:

• Support budget development for government-funded early childhood applications and monitor budget spend downs across multiple centers
• Ensure program budgets align with funder allowances and reporting requirements to minimize reimbursement risks
• Collaborate with teams to create guidelines and tracking systems that enhance budgeting strategies and compliance

Required qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in pre-k/child care contract management and program implementation
• Understanding of accounting basics and financial planning, including financial reports like profit & loss statements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to meet tight deadlines while working independently and collaboratively
